Overjoyed.

Just because it's the last day of the year, I felt like I owe my blog an update..haha. But seriously, I am deeply overjoyed because of the overflowing blessings I've received. I'm not referring to material things, because those are just bonuses! right? I am truly grateful for all the people who have been part of my year and for the wonderful experiences I've gained.

2011 is a year full of twist-and-turns. This year may have a rough start, but it ended with a blast! Acad-related stuffs filled in my year. I just remembered how we're trying to get the approval for our thesis topic at the start of the year. But now, it's almost done! Revisions na lang. This is also the year I turned twenteen. And now only three more months before my birthday. We're not getting any younger. I realized that as we grow older, we meet new faces. And we learn how to mingle. We are exposed to different environments. And we learn to adapt. We stumble, but we learn how to stand up after the fall. It's amazing how fast time flies that you didn't notice that a year have already passed and yet another year is about to come!

Before the year ends, I would like to thank my family, relatives and friends for being with me through good and difficult times in my journey.  Bust most of all, I am grateful for our God, who never fails us and always lead us the way. In the darkness, I see the light through Him. This year has been different because of You. I now have a new perspective and I realized how much blessed I am. We must learn to appreciate everything, even if it's just a simple thing. Always remember that we are blessed so that we can be a blessing to others!

Spread the love and joy in the world!
Goodbye 2011, It's been a great year!
Welcome 2012, time to make new memories!
Happy new year!

My Routine

Well, it's been a while and there are so many things that had happened. I'm just in the "getting-used-to" stage of my new weekly routine. Since I have my review classes every Saturdays and Sundays (yes, we have classes on weekends! Hassle!) and I have my internship from Mondays to Thursdays, I already have to leave Batangas after my Sunday class. It's a tiring schedule, but I guess, I'm getting used to it now.

Part of my daily routine has also changed. Usually, I woke up late because I'm used to staying awake all night long either having movie or TV series marathons, and unlimited net surfing. Now that I'm not at the comfort of my home in Lipa, I must limit myself to these distractions. Besides, this will help me manage my time well in other important tasks that I should be doing for the day. It's a big achievement for me that now I'm able to wake up as early as 5:45 am and prepare for my breakfast and our baon for lunch. My time is just enough for my morning rituals before I go to my workplace at 8am. I just walk every morning except when it's raining and when I brought my heavy backpack.

I'm also grateful for the people we've met at our workplace. Everyone is so kind and friendly. Even strangers will politely greet you and have a small talk with us. I am definitely having fun because of the people around me. It doesn't mean that there aren't bitches around. Bitches still exist but are very few and you only encounter them once in a blue moon. Well, that's tolerable because you can't always expect things to fall into place, sometimes you have to learn how to deal with it when something goes wrong. The best thing to do is to ignore those kind of people.

Microwave dish for setup
In just two weeks, we have been already assigned to two departments: TV Broadcasting Maintenance Dept. and now I'm in the Microwave dept. We have been deployed in Manila Hotel for the big setup of the microwave antenna for the prescon of Pnoy and the Korean President.  Also, we witnessed the setup for their show, talking points where DOH Sec. Ona guested. It was a fun learning experience plus we're given many free meals!haha. I ♥ freebies!

Master Antenna Controller
In the control room, they used the master antenna controller to remotely access and pan the microwave antennas which are already setup in different places. In just one click, MalacaƱang can be connected for their live broadcast. They have 14 channels and they used 7Ghz bandwidth for broadcast. There are still so many technicalities to learn. I hope we can learn them in the coming weeks before we transfer to other departments. All I can say is, enjoy talaga sa microwave department! So many cool and funny people!☺

the day before my OJT

So today is the last day of preparation for my internship at NBN 4, the People's Television Network . I already accomplished the forms and waiver to be filled up.

DREAM COME TRUE
It seems so surreal that finally I am here right at this moment. My dream 4 years ago is just starting to come true this year. I have always wanted to study college at a prestige university in Manila, and not just in the province. But, I have no choice that time. But looking back over my college years, I have no regret because I realized that my school is not that bad after all. I had so many experiences and had met many different faces who have been my friends now. Also, back in high school, I've always dreamed to work in a TV network or telecommunications company. Although this is just an internship, I feel that somehow a part of my dream came true. I now understand what GOD wants for me. There is really a reason and timing for everything that happens.

COMFORTING REALIZATION
I guess this is the time God gave me to at least have a taste of what I really wanted back then. I'm just so thankful that I have a wonderful cousin, who is like a sister to me. She is a part of my journey.  It will not be hard for me to adjust because I'm living with her. We have more bonding time over kwentuhans, food tripppin's, and other girly stuffs. I'm so grateful for having the chance to make memories with her. Love you T Karen! :)

MIXED EMOTIONS
Now I feel so excited! Tomorrow will be my first job-like assignment and I'm happy that I'll be working in the field that I like. Hopefully, I will not be so disappointed with the tasks that will be assigned to us. Although I'm nervous that I can't come up to their expectations, I am just happy that I am given a chance to learn new things and meet new people. This is totally a new environment for me. Hopefully, this chapter of my life will start and end just the way I wanted.  ;)
